CONDITIONS for employment after passing final job interview:

Obtaining USA C1/D visa - crew member in transit visas are a requirement in order to reach an American port and embark on board a ship. We shall provide You with a Letter of Employment with which You shall apply for the visa. Generally, our staff get visas except in ase one has had previous visa rejection or have prolonged the legal period of stay mentioned in the visa. Please, kindly inform us of any such facts!/P>

Carrying out the detailed Medical Examination as per authorized form - this is actually the other condition of employment. Medical examinations and laboratory testing is quite extensive since they concern work at sea and are carried out in two clinics - in Russe and in Varna. Check REHIRES section.

According to IMO (International Maritime Organization) each crew member must be well acquainted with the safety requirements. Initial courses in " Safety and Survival at Sea" are offered in the Licensed Marine Schools - Russe, Varna, Burgas. STCW 95/98 Certificates are necessary with most cruise companies.

Air Tickets to Port of call - most cruise companies provide meeting at airports and one day hotel accommodation for free for their crew but do not pay for the first air ticket from Bulgaria. Upon completion of contract that particular expense drops off.
